Yukon Exploration & White Pass Scenic Railway

Explore the historic White Pass Trail of '98 from several different
perspectives. Board a motorcoach, designed for highway
travel, as you begin your expedition along the historic Trail of '98
to the White Pass summit and into the Yukon. Your
driver/guide will regale you with true stories of the stampeders who
traveled through the rugged pass in search of their golden
dreams. As you travel along the footsteps of the original gold
seekers, you'll make several photo stops: Moore Bridge, Bove
Island and the Welcome to the Yukon sign.

Your guide will point out the historic sites of Pitchfork Falls, the
White Pass Summit and Dead Horse Gulch. After you pass through
the 3,290 foot White Pass Summit, travel through Tormented Valley
and visit the village of Carcross near Lake Bennett.

A barbeque lunch awaits at Caribou Crossing Trading Post. While
at the trading post you will not want to miss the wildlife
exhibit in the museum and their newest showcase - a Wooly
Mammoth. Experience the warmth and playfulness of the puppy
camp before heading to downtown Carcross. Your driver will point
out the sights of interest on your way to visit the Carcross
Yukon Visitor Reception Centre where you have time to visit the
town on your own. Reboard the motorcoach and head back
to Fraser, where you will board the White Pass and Yukon Route
railroad for a scenic and historic rail journey back to Skagway that
you will not soon forget.

Skagway Extravaganza

Experience many of Skagway's highlights during one tour. First,
climb aboard the White Pass and Yukon Railway and ascend
into the scenic mountains, hearing stories of the miners who made
this sojourn on foot more than a century ago. Arriving in
Fraser, British Columbia board a motor coach to travel south
through the pass where your driver/guide will point out sites
including Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls. At the foot of the
pass is Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp, where a cast of
sourdoughs and madams will entertain you with a melodrama,
recite a poem by the "Bard of the North" and teach you the art
of finding gold! You are guaranteed to hit pay dirt and you get to
keep the gold you find.

Nothing like panning for gold to work up an appetite! At the
Liarsville Cookhouse the grill is fired up for a meal of wild
Alaskan salmon, baked chicken, rice pilaf, assorted salads, baked
beans, cornbread, lemonade, apple cider and dessert. After
your meal, explore the Trail camp or take your photo with the camp
mascot, a lovable freight husky.

Your tour culminates at the world famous Red Onion Saloon where
you will be greeted by sumptuously dressed madams. Upstairs in
the Bombay room you will toast to the ladies of 1898 with your
choice of red or white wine, Alaskan Amber Ale, or draft root beer.
A few more steps takes you to what was the most luxurious brothel
of its day, now faithfully restored to its present glory. On your
exclusive tour through the brothel, you will see the prized silver
dress and other relics and artifacts left behind by the soiled doves.

Sawtooth Mountain Nature Hike

This fully guided wilderness hike begins with a 20 minute ride
aboard the historic White Pass and Yukon Route Railway to the
wilderness whistle stop at the Denver Trailhead. Your hiking guide
will accompany you through the Coastal Temperate
Rainforest with its old-growth western hemlocks and Sitka spruce.

The trail follows along the banks of the Skagway River,
where lookout points provide views of the Sawtooth Mountain
Range. There are photo opportunities along the way and
possible wildlife viewing - bear, moose, and mountain goats all call
this valley home. Your guides will provide information on
local flora and fauna, geology, natural history and the gold rush
history of the region. At the end of the hike, beverages are
served during your train ride back into town.

Minimum age to participate is 9 years old. This wilderness hike
covers up to 5 miles over uneven and sometimes difficult
terrain. Layered clothing and sturdy walking shoes with ankle

Musher's Camp & Sled Dog Experience

Get a glimpse of a truly northern pastime and learn about the life
of sled dogs and their musher and see these powerful dogs in
action as they pull you through the backcountry of a historic Gold
Rush site. During your van ride out of Skagway, your guide
will acquaint you to the area's Gold Rush history and the present
day community.

Arriving at the dog camp, you will meet the
dogs and climb onto a wheeled sled that has been custom made
for running during the snow-less summer months. The husky team
will whisk you along a one mile wooded trail through some of the
Southeast Alaska's Temperate Rainforest. Spruce and
hemlock trees, thick spagma moss, glacially fed waterfalls and
views of the Taiya Inlet Tidal flats surround you on this unique
excursion. There will be time to cuddle husky puppies and take a
guided walk through the musher's camp and learn about the
equipment, hard work, and great husky strength that goes into the
life of dog sledding in the wild, rugged North.

White Pass Train & Klondike Bike Tour

Combine two popular Skagway tours and experience the Summit to
Sea! Board the historic White Pass and Yukon Railroad
and travel the narrow gauge track to Fraser Station in British
Columbia, Canada. Meet your cycling guides for a short van ride
to the White Pass Summit. After a bicycle and safety orientation,
your guides will escort you approximately 15 miles by bike
from summit to sea on the paved Klondike road. Make stops for
photos of waterfalls, the railroad, glaciers, and the coastal
mountains on your way to Skagway. This is a unique way to tour
Skagway and the surrounding area.

Participants must be at least 12 years old and 54-inches tall.
Sports shoes and layered clothing are recommended. The ride is
approximately 15 miles downhill and participants must be
comfortable using hand brakes. Participants should be aware that

Your sightseeing begins with a tour of Skagway's historic
downtown area filled with wooden boardwalks and false fronted
buildings as your driver/guide shares stories about the famous and
foolhardy who lived in Skagway during the gold rush.

Your journey takes you along the Klondike Highway up 3,290 feet
above sea level to the infamous White Pass Summit, which
runs parallel to the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad. Along
the way, hear the stories of hardships and daily life struggles the
stampeders faced. While following in the footsteps of early gold
seekers, you will see the historical areas of Brackett Wagon Road,
Pitch Fork Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented
Valley.

On your return trip back into Skagway you will visit the historic
Gold Rush Cemetery, the final resting place for many of
Skagway's colorful characters. Your guide will share the legend of
Soapy Smith and his rival Frank Reid, as you view their
actual gravesites. Afterwards, reboard the motorcoach for the
return drive to town.

Glacier Lake Kayak & Scenic Railway

trail of 1898. Experience the White Pass Summit and Canadian
Highlands before disembarking at Lake Bernard.

The next stage of your adventure begins with a "gear grab" and
instruction in the use of 2-person kayaks. Paddle across the cold
pristine waters that Klondikers plied over 100 years ago to reach
the goldfields of the Yukon. Capture views of snow-capped
mountains that rise in all directions. Your professional guide will
provide interpretations of the gold rush, natural history, flora, and
fauna. Watch for bear, mountain goat, caribou, and eagles
amid the alpine terrain of the Tormented Valley. After paddling, a
light snack is provided before your narrated drive down the
Klondike Highway back to Skagway.

Minimum age to participate is 9 years old. Participants must be in
good physical condition and able to paddle up to 80
minutes, covering a distance of 1 to 3 miles. Since this excursion
