At the Summit you will receive a brass ornament of certification,
certifying your entry into one of the most elite clubs in Alaska,
the "White Pass Summit Club." You will be given full commentary
of the history of the Klondike Gold Rush and describe how this
railroad became an International Historic Civil Engineering
Landmark. View the panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges,
waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites from vintage parlor
cars. Experience the world famous White Pass Scenic Railway
with a touch of class!
After reaching the summit of White Pass and the boundary
between the US and Canada the train returns you to your waiting
ship. Due to climatic changes, no guarantee is given for the

White Pass Railway & Historic City Highlights

Your journey begins as you board an 1890's-style parlor car
and retrace the original route up to the Yukon's White Pass
Summit. The world-famous narrow gauge White Pass and
Yukon Route Railroad is an unforgettable ride along the eastern
side of the White Pass as you retrace the steps of early gold
seekers. This iron trail was built over 100 years ago through
some of the North's most rugged terrain.
Upon arriving in Fraser, British Columbia board a motorcoach
for a narrated tour back to Skagway. Your driver/guide will share
stories of hardships and daily life struggles the stampeders
faced. While following in the footsteps of early gold seekers, you
will see the historical areas of Brackett Wagon Road, Pitch Fork
Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented Valley.
Once back in Skagway, you will have a guided tour of
Skagway's historic downtown area filled with wooden boardwalks
andfalse fronted buildings as your driver/guide shares stories
about the famous and foolhardy who lived in Skagway during the
gold rush. Your tour culminates with a lively multi-media
presentation, "The White Pass," which chronicles the history of
this unique region. Watch as history unfolds before you - from
the Ice Age to the present day. Return to your ship by
motorcoach or stroll Skagway's bustling streets on your own as
the tour comes to a close.
Since this excursion crosses an international border all
participants must bring proper international identification,
including proof of citizenship (e.g., passport).
Glacier Discovery by Helicopter

Leave all traces of civilization behind and experience the
grandeur of Alaska's remote glaciers. Lift off from Skagway's
historic waterfront and travel into a rugged region of sheer
mountains, majestic valleys and glaciers. Jagged peaks
towering over the Chilkat Glacier, cascading waterfalls surround
the Ferebee Glacier, or the "river of ice" known as the Meade
Glacier, may be among the views experienced. Flight routes and
landing zones are selected daily to ensure you receive the best
the area has to offer. Reaching your destination, you will be
given the opportunity to join a walking tour of a lifetime as a
glacier guide answers your questions and explains the
geological forces at work.
Warm clothing and sunglasses are recommended. Glacier boots
are provided. For security purposes, no bags are allowed on
the helicopter. Due to weight restrictions on board helicopters,
all participants must register their body weight at the time of
booking. This is a requirement of the helicopter companies to
ensure guest safety and comfort. Approximately 40 minutes
flight time and 40 minute landing.

Twin Otter for views of the glaciers of the northern Inside
Passage. From tidewater to hanging glaciers, see some of the

the routes first explored by John Muir. Survey this unforgettable
landscape and marvel at the power of nature as she
continually reshapes the mountains and valleys below. Examine
glacial dynamics as seen only from the air and view rivers of
ice as they carve their way through bedrock. Fully narrated with
music, you will learn about the history and geography of the
area through your headset. Large windows and above-winged
aircraft provide for maximum viewing opportunities.

Golden Glassblowing Experience

lifetime opportunity to blow or mold your own glass art in the
Last Frontier - complete with real gold in your finished piece!
Escape to the tranquility of Jewell Gardens for a very personal
and fun filled glassblowing workshop. You'll keep the glass you
make, and arrangements will be made to ship your creation to
you after it cools.
From the moment you leave the pier you'll know you're on a
learning adventure on a very personal scale. Upon arrival at
Jewell Gardens, your guide will give you a private orientation to
this Northern Show Garden and the Hot Shop where you will
learn the ancient art of working with molten glass to create your
ultimate Alaskan memento embedded with real gold!
Minimum age to participate is 7 years old. This new and exciting
