ICY STRAIT POINT ALASKA TOURS
ICY STRAIT POINT KAYAKING TOUR
Your adventure begins with a short walk along the dock to
the kayak center, where you'll check-in, have a safety
briefing, and receive your kayak gear. Slip into your two
person kayak and set out on the waters of Port Frederick
and Icy Strait. Kayaking is one of the best ways to enjoy the
serenity and beauty of this unique area. During your paddle
you may see Humpback Whales, Orcas, Seal, Sea-Lions,
and other marine wildlife in their natural pristine environment.
Keep your eyes on the trees for Eagles who live near and
survive around these same waters. Your guides will introduce
you to the Native culture, the Tlingits, and the village of
Hoonah. Bring your sense of adventure and wear warm
layered clothing and shoes to keep your feet dry
Participants must be at least 10 years old, between 50 and
275 pounds, not more than 78-inches tall and comfortable in
and around the water. Participants must be prepared to sit
upright and paddle a kayak for up to 2 hours. Conditions are
generally calm however conditions may change and calm
water is not guaranteed.

ICY STRAIT POINT WHALE & MARINE MAMMALS CRUISE-
Board a sightseeing vessel and ply the cool, deep waters of
Icy Strait to the Point Adolphus area, one of Alaska's premier
whale watching sites. Your onboard naturalist will describe
the diversity of marine life that accumulates here every
summer to indulge in the nutrient rich waters, fueled by the
long Alaska summer days. Learn about the behavior and
habitat of the wildlife you may encounter which include
Humpback and Orca (killer) whales, Stellar sea lions, harbor
seals, bald eagles and more. You will be cruising through
waters abundant with marine life, however whale sightings
are not guaranteed.
Warm layered clothing and waterproof outwear are
recommended for the open-air observation deck. Don't
forget your camera and binoculars!

ICY STRAIT POINT ZIPRIDER ZIPLINE
If you are looking for real adventure then the ZipRider is for
you! This ZipRider cable ride is the world's longest ZipRider
zip line in the world at 5,330 feet long, and includes a 1,300
foot vertical drop. Your adventure begins with a narrated bus
through the village of Hoonah and then up the mountainside.
Once on top of the mountain it's a short walk to the launching
area located 1,300 feet above sea level. After getting into
your special harness seat you will have a moment to take in
the view from the mountaintop. The ZipRider is six cables
wide, and after all riders are in position it will seem like a race
to the bottom! Accelerating to a maximum speed of 60 mph,
you pass through a wooded area, soon afterward the bottom
drops out and you will be 300 feet above the ground. If your
eyes are still open you will see sweeping views of Port
Fredrick, Icy Strait and your cruise ship! Your approximate
1.5 minute ZipRide ends with a touchdown on the beach at
Icy Strait Point.
Participants must be between 90 and 275 pounds and be
comfortable with heights. Participants should wear warm
layered clothing, waterproof outwear and closed toed shoes.
Loose and dangling clothing is not allowed. Pregnant women
and persons with back and/or neck problems are not
permitted to participate.

and cook the fish. Learn how locals catch, prepare and eat
crab with style, and yes, bibs are provided! Your host will
also feature tips on smoking meats and fish. Your experience
